We, 34th batch of Audit & Accounts Cadre officers (probationers), have already passed a half path of the year-long training period under the umbrella of Financial Management Academy (FIMA) and as time passes we gradually come closer to the comprehension that life is a sojourn but learning never adjourns in our lives and outcomes of our learning persists even after our physical demise. And without training whether formal or informal this learning swirls like a ship without a compass. As learning adds meanings to our lives so training polishes our learning. Thus, a learned human being becomes a resource to its races.

FIMA has been doing this polishing job aptly for years through resourcing trainings on public financial management for the academically already learned public servents of the republic, specially for the probationers, like us, of Audit & Accounts Cadre.

FIMA, premier training wing of the office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of Bangladesh also discharges trainings on public financial management for other govt. departments of different ministries, departments including police forces and defence services.

As we have come across, FIMA ensures a very congenial environment for the trainees. The relationship among trainers, staffs and resource personnel of both inside and outside of the department have always been very easy going and complementary to each other. Thus learning has always been a pleasure inside FIMA premise which also has uphold a serenic natural ambience with aesthetic but modern architectural infrastrucure of the buildings, gardens, artificial fountains, walkways, parks, sports, educational, technical, recreational resources and other necessary establishments fencing with a security team of Bangladesh Anasar available for all the concerned.

FIMA also provides residential facilities full of modern amenities for the learners. It also involves the learners with pragmatic extra curricular tasks so as to bring out the professional dexterity from the amateur learners in this field utilizing their former academic attainments within the shortest possible schedule. Learners also get involved in the faculties cultural, library works, seminar and other extra-curricular activities utilizing a state-of-the art conference room, a two-layered auditorium, publication wing, a rich library and 24-hour wi-fi service inside the campus.
Apart from these, field attachments and regular study tours arranged by FIMA authority also boost the learners theoritical understandings into practical masterminding. A trainee thus acquires confidence over one’s individual craftings which one has already learnt encircling the class room.

As follows, moulding the training of FIMA as our service navigator, we, 34th batch probationers, also have strongly been getting confident that we would be able to contribute to the righteous safeguard of the exchequre of the republic. We, now, do take pride for being a part of this elite cadre service from where we feel that we would be able to add the best value to our individual varied (academic) learning and earnings through trainings. Besides, this is really a presitigious platform for individuals, like us, who, ultimately can now have the oppurtunity to become a resource to themselves and above all to their actual custodian – the citizens of the republic.

FIMA has already excelled as a center for training excellence in Public Financial Management of the republic. It has now been an established legacy in producing professionals sound on managing public finance. Our expectation also lies on the exchange of the trainings that we would also be aware of the great legacy of ,through FIMA, the Audit & Accounts cadre and we are convinced that, as our formers had imprinted and, now, we have been observing the trace, the ensuing officers would sustain the trend too.
